If 50 sets sold, the pallet must be empty.
Maybe Stage 2 improved are coming. Mike did mention when I was out at TA that he had some ideas for improvement, maybe for a second run?
    Scrap that chebby rocker idea.

might as well throw in a aluminum block with bigger bore just add 2 more to the V6 lol

Question is ……. Is that 59 out the door, or just deposits on them like Demko had for a couple years waiting for the final product to be machined???

Didn't sound like he was talking about deposits.. he went right into the story about the dirt track guy...

That should put us closer to Stage II
people are out there Hot Rodding they don't have to be members here to run a 350 there are probably a bunch everywhere, and if they are dirt tracking it then they need a motor and the 350 Buick does have good TQ and the damn thing is strong.
I got 30 years this year and all were run hard 6 grand to 6200 a lot, I need a real rebuild now with the light weight parts and Stage II alums.

I know at this point it can be a 12.90 car with a 350 and 373 gears and 28" tall tire 4 speed automatic. I got to 13.28 with my old motor and a solid cam so I know with some new lightweight parts and the Alums and about 11.1 comp it will do it.
Only need 3 more tenths another 30 more hp have to try my 80 shot of nitrous see if it will hit 11.99.
I got to 12.31 with the old cam but it may have liked nitrous more since it had a 116 lsa separation. New cam is at 108 lsa so do not know what the reaction is going to be.

This says it right here, I had thought many times that I should have done a 455 since it would have been way faster than the 350, especially after I went to the race shop and the one he was doing for a Buick racer had 600hp and about the same in TQ.
I did the 350 because I watched Sonny Seal with his and just thought it was different and I liked that. Plus I did a lot of cruising the streets and wanted something that at least got some gas mileage, so I stuck with the 350 owned the car since 1977.

I still would like to have a 600+hp 600+tq 455 pump gas since that would about kick most other cars butts tq rules I saw some of those ls engines the dyno, no where near the tq of the 455. Did see a 406 Mopar sm blk couple days ago and a solid roller really put some juice in that motor, we can do that with our little 350's
    light light light
    I still like my 350

    I like my 350 too.
But like I’ve said before, if I was 455 running 13.35 no big deal, if I was running 12.90 still no big deal for a 455, nobody notices, but a 350 Buick running those times is pretty decent.
Plus I don’t have the money for another engine build from the pan on up, I’m sticking with my 350 and just keep pecking away at it:p

TA claims around 200 cfm with porting on the exhaust with these 350 AL heads.. The exhaust flow is there if true. Not saying just because they flow they will make more power in general.
The BBB Stage 2 heads have a straight path to the headers, is this what makes them even more special?

If they do make a 350 Stage 2 heads then I see headers being alot easier to fit like the their Big Brother?

I so wanted to do a April fools joke on these 350 AL heads being alive!! but couldn't bring myself to do it.

A wise designer would make the Buick 350 Stage 2 use a small block Chubby variant for headers. The BB Stage 2 looks similar to the BB Mopar but the 440 never came in a GM A-body. The SBC came in everything. Can you imagine being able to put a Stage 2 Buick 350 in a GM pickup? A Camaro? We could piss of a lot of people with that!

A wiser designer would stay away from the chebby conversions and stay Buick. Chevy headers will never fit a Buick totally different. If that exhaust port is changed a lot you will need special headers and what is the chance in that one? A 2" primary header yes that may be needed there but a total change is hard to do.
Need to work with what is there now just make the design better.
The key will taking advantage of the smaller bore and make the heads to promote that, might have to do a little stroking on the crank too.
New aluminum block that will fix all that lol. dreaming again darnit

The Chebby rocker arms were a no go on my aluminum heads. Machinist said they’d be nothing but trouble geometry wise.

I'm not saying use Chevy rockers. With a little planning the exhaust ports could be designed to line up with the many available small block chevy headers and open up a world of options and new bodies we could drop a Stage 2 Buick 350 into.
