Example Auction Link I have been tempted, It seems like a good deal. But with the problems AC Delco has had over the years fighting the counterfeiting of their parts I am leary. Any thoughts?
Never tried Advanced. I think they have stores here in MN. Never seen one that I recall. It seems AC filters are hard to find these days, and when someone does carry them, they carry very few applications. Of course Fram filters are everywhere!
Dale, With the shipping charges, those come to $42, more if they are bid up. You can get them for $49 from gmpartsdirect.com and then you don't have to worry about counterfeiting.
I guess I should have said advance auto - etc. But Dale's right, they are hard to find - especially on sale! -Bill
NOT a Good Price! I have a friend that is a dealer and he can buy them for less and lets me have them at his cost. Also Advance has them for about 2.95 most times. Things like that on ebay are not worth the hassle. Jim N.
Be careful! AC had a problem with counterfit oil filters getting on the market. This was about 2-3 years ago, but it may still be happening. The bogus filters had about 60% less filter material on the inside. I know at one point K-mart got a hold of a bunch.
Thanks all! I am definately looking into finding an Advanced Auto parts store! The AC filters I bought a few weeks ago for my Park Ave. and my wife's Jeep cost $4.99 each. I honestly hadn't dug deep enough into those auctions to discover what shipping added to it. Forget it!
You can usually make a deal with your local mom and pop stores if you buy a case in bulk. I usually get them for around $2 a piece.
I about a case off Ebay and they seem to be originals. They 're packaged in the old AC boxes. They kinda just look like they've been sitting around for a little while.
