I have a complete early 1970 radiator overflow tank with the clear transluscent top. One edge of the top on firewall side has decayed (lip that hangs over) but top is mostly intact with the tether too. Has anyone ever used with good results one of those plastic repair kits like Eastwood sells? Wondering if it would be worth my time (or waste of time?) or if I should keep looking for a good used clear overflow top to purchase. I can't afford to pay $900.00 for a NOS one.:eek2:

Thanks Bill! I'll email Mr. G's in TX and see if they can repair mine. I could send them digital pics too. Repairing if possible sure beats $900.00 for a NOS one, doesn't it?:jd:

I believe the overflow jars are made of a different plastic...I think Mr Gs repairs the "hard" plastic used in dash bezels..probably use a plastic welding system (like you see in Eastwoods catalog). Additionally, they plate and/or paint over their repairs....dash bezels, etc...so be very specific to them in describing the type of plastic you have. I would be interested in hearing about your experience with them as I have had friends deal with them on other dash pieces and they, in the past, seem to have a "we could care less" attitude. Thnx Patton
