May today be a great day for everyone. Especially those thrashing on their Buicks in the final days before heading to the Nationals. We are thrashing here for sure. Many part came in at the end of the day yesterday. So today is get the car back together mostly. Tomorrow is pack and organize the trailer. At some point I need to change the bed on my truck and put in the new rear suspension. Can't leave for BG until late morning Monday as my new tire delivery for the truck was pushed back until Monday . I'll update the other thread today. Be safe to all working on all the different projects around the property. Don't forget to enjoy the day....
Have an unexpected service call this morning. Dont know why I answer the phone after hours! Other than that this weekend was set aside to get ready for the trip and obligated to do something with mom tomorrow. Other than washing the car nothing needs done with it.
I had been up for a while. I have the heat on in the trailer waiting for it to warm up a bit 34 degrees this morning. Almost time to make noise... Steve get that job done so you can relax and work on the Buick
See y'all in a few days. I'm usually excited but seemingly more so for this this year's Nationals than I have been in a long time. LOTS of new ppl to meet this year & lots of parts to take/bring.
I was honestly thinking about making a first-ever trip to Nats, but we got a rare job on a cruise ship -- heading to Curacao this AM for a week. Next year!
Drinking beer and going boating. Went to the grand kids soccer game this morning. Worked on the Skylark a little too. Still evicted from my house. Damn termites!
Quit my current job of 13 years and will be starting a new job near the house Monday. So this weekend, my kid’s birthday party and relaxing
I'll take some pictures in the morning. This day has been long enough 5:15am to 10:15pm. Running at capacity since I got up. Hope everyone is getting things done? Plenty here. Back at it at 5am.
Transmission flush and filter change on my 2012 Silverado. It’s just as messy as you would expect. Also changing diff fluid, and transfer case. Beater car needed headlights and cooked some lunch for my ma.
A day late, but don't forget that May 8 is VE Day. Let's thank the greatest generation for their service.
Saturday was another bust day for me: Allergies from neighbors cutting grass. Sunday, went to my nephew's in town to help(Right) him with the brakes on his 95 Mustang Cobra. As expected, the parts were wrong. He was sent brake lines for a regular Mustang, not for a Cobra. They are significantly longer for the Cobra. And he has had them for WAY longer than return... Another day down the drain on his car. Will it EVER end?
