Happy Birthday Scott!!!! And buying alcohol is overrated. Don't get too focused on that. If I have the choice to get trashed or drag race, I'll take drag racing every day. There is NOTHING that can compare to rolling up to the line, Pre-Staging, then Staging, then waiting for the lights to count down and finally cutting a good light and pounding on your car while keeping a peripheral eye on the car in the other lane to see who goes through the traps first. The real thrill is pulling up to the timing tower after a close run and not knowing if you won or lost until you read the slip. While the whole thing only takes a couple of minutes from the time you are 2 or 3 cars back in the staging lanes until you roll through the pits after the race, it is still so invigorating. For anyone who attends the BPG Nationals next year and doesn't stay to race on Sunday to get a jump on their several-hour-long drive home... well, you certainly miss out!
Yardley, I would love to go drag racing right now but the closest LEGIT(!!!) race track is all the way in freaking Englishtown New Jersey. Not that I have a car worthy of drag racing. My Skylark is in a million and one pieces. Does anyone know the 1/4 mile times for a stock Supercharged Riv??
A SP '95 Riv will probably run around 15 Flat, You need to do a search on this, cause Michael Joseph, with the '69 Electra GSX plan has run his '95 Riv at the track, I'm not sure what his name is on this forum, but he does check it out! RV
