maybe him and his buddies got drunk one night and got in one of those "lets see if we can do this with that and see how fast we can do it" type of moods. poor truck:ball:

 

Yeah, it is a tragedy to see such a valuable truck bed ruined with that non-mopar sheetmetal attached to it (NOT!). I bet that bed & tailgate was worth at least $10 on ebay, maybe $20 if the truck originally came with a Hemi.
Probably the worlds first nailhead powered dodge hybrid. Or maybe a mopar guy took that old saying "If you can't beat them, join them" a little too seriously. A sad end for a 64 Riviera to say the least.

 

Probably got hit in the back so the made a Buick / Dodge elcamino. Probably got custom frame work in the back.

We had a local nut that had a perfectly good 64 Riv. Then he bought a Rolls that was hit in the rear and he did this same thing but finished it off. Just terrible. I wish I had a pic of that car
