It is that time of year once again. Conditions may yield something in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico or off the northeastern coast of Florida next week. Stay tuned.

Interesting way it's gonna develop. The low pressure is currently in the Tenn. area. It's gonna move south, and then the potential development may occur.

I live in the north east gulf area. One good thing about these early storms that develop close to land is they dont have much time over open water to really get going. If it happens at all it will be just a minor rain maker. It doesn't not have to be a full blown storm to do some real damage though. Tropical Storm Debbie in 12 stalled over our area and dropped over 30 inches of rain in under 3 days. Theres still vacant flooded out houses standing around the county and probably 1/2 dozen bare slabs where houses once sat.
I did finally complete my home made whole house generator so Im good to go!

Weather forecasters/sensationalists  Most of the time they can't predict what will take place 2 hours from now, how can they predict what will happen later in the week with even the slightest trace of accuracy.

That's why I call them the weather liar. Last Thursday they forecast 95% chance of thunderstorms. There weren't any within 100 miles of me.

Now 70% chance development. The highest risk areas are Texas and Louisiana.

I recall the northeast members getting a weeks notice that Hurricane Sandy, then south of Cuba, would strike around NYC.

Larry—what floor are you on over in Oakland Gardens? The reason I ask is the Mayor wants to get your ride to the job site at the correct height so that you can just step out of your window.

Local Tallahassee weather guy says we'll get maybe 2 - 3 inches of rain as it passes through into the gulf then should make a turn to the west. Nothing for us to worry about. The very next segment showed a huge pile of sand and bags urging all area people to go and fill up sand bags ahead of the storm.. Really? I swear the media thrives on blowing this stuff way outta shape. next will be a massive run on food supplies, bottled water and plywood.

Larry — Bullwinkle can not fly that low. The Mayor asks that you go to the roof to insure a clean mount. The Mayor is lending you to New Orleans so you can help with the aftermath of the T. D. that is expected to form in the Gulf.
