just some thoughts for our first bpg meet.

at the bca 100th, i asked how come people like tommy ivo, ron pellegrini, jim bell, etc were not personally asked to come to the event. it was an oversight on their part. okay. our turn.

i know this will become a money issue,......but should we extend personal invitations to the people who were there first in buick racing history?
tommy ivo would be one i would like to see. the historic stories from him would be awesome as from others also.

thought about doing this as a poll, but personal input from everybody would be better.

    thanks
    john

John thanx for the reminder. I think most everyone was asleep when you posted last night, and prolly still sleeping now..
I will forward the interest to the rest of the staff. I do know that Dave Benisek is coming for sure, doubtfull about Ivo and Jim Bell.

Did anyone mention Dennis Manner? I don't know if he is already going, but as always it is always great to see him at the Buick events.

As for Jim Bell and Tommy Ivo,it would be cool to see them appear at this event.

Hey look at it this way,we're all getting older and now is the time to get together-everyone agree?

Yes I suggested D Manner early on the BPG Board in the hopes he would give his engine development presentation and slide show . That was at least 6 months ago. I think JW was going to talk to him.

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

I think Ivo just had a stroke a month or two ago. I don't know his condition but the stroke may prevent him from attending. Maybe someone here has more info.

OK this is for us Nailhead guys. There was a fellow from Florida who has a 66 Gran Sport that was one of the out the back door "factory backed" race cars. He posted several pic's and a lot of the info on the car. I just don't know if it was here of one of the other sites.
You hear the "rumors" about such cars and this is the only one (Nailhead powered) I've heard of.

In talking with Denny Manner at Norwalk, it sounded like he was planning on being at the BPG Nationals.:TU:
