Well I finally got her home! Here are some picture I shot on my way back from Anchorage to Fairbanks yesterday. It was a nice day so I unloaded the GSX while going throught the Alaska Range to get these one of a kind GSX shots. Hope you enjoy them.
gsx alaskabuick, congrats on finding yourself a gsx. is it a matching # motor and trans? what are your plans with it? are you gonna show it off at the nationals?
Nationals Well the nationals are out of the question due to the 5000 miles in between. I will have to make due showing it off here in Alaska..
HEY DENNIS .... glad to see you got to go pick up the x, how many hours was that road trip???? photos look great:beer owen martin
Sharp car. Looks like the one that is in Fairbanks. You should run it by her house and remind her how nice they should look. If memory serves me right her name is Lou. That is a 30 year old memory so i could be wrong. Always wanted that one. CONGRADULATIONS ED
Drive The drive is about 6 hours, I enjoy it. Very peacefull two lane hiway, you see a another car about every 1/2 hour in some parts. Summer is more busy as it is tourist season. Yes I was planning on taking it by to show Lou when the weather improves and the get all thows damn rock chips off the roads. The chip the roads hear instead of salt, thats a good thing for corrosion but not for putting ships in your car.
Looks great Dennis, quick question though, does that car have drop springs on it? I was trying to figure out why it had such an agressive stance (moreso than any other GSX I've seen) and it looks like the tires are tucked nicely inside the fenderwells. Man that is a sweet car.:bglasses:
springs Not sure, that is my 1st project on the list, to replace the springs. It seems to sit low on the passenger side. So it looks like new springs are in order. Dennis.
this is probably one of the few times i am envious of Alaska, those are calender material photos, nice job John:beer
Picture X Nice X dude...Wouldn't mind takin a cruise in my X up there to see the views..... do they salt the roads up there?
Congratulations on your new X, Dennis! She does sit kind of low,but a new set of springs will fix that.Nice pictures of the car and of the beautiful mountain range. Good luck with your GSX!!!!!!:TU:
Dennis the photos of the Alaska Range and the car look great. Good to see the GSX arrived into the 49th State in pristine condition. See you at the car shows this month.
