Does anyone run the Poston GS110 camshaft. I want to know what it requires and if it lives up to the title they have given it as, "the ultimate street/strip cam?"

I was looking into this one a while back too. It's very radical, from what I understand. Mean idle (and it idles higher than what Poston claims). Do a search for GS110 and you will find a lot of info, including a cam card.

I put this cam in my 455 and was suprised it is as radical as it is. It does idle at 800 but I had to drill holes in the butterflies and step up to a looser converter. I like the hard hitting sound but would really like something a little tamer. Don't want to change it now so I really need a good conv. recomendation. The 4500 I put in flashes to 5300 and thats way to loose. Just my opinion. Wayne

Does that mean that your engine is producing heaps of torque? I always thought that the figure given by torque converter manufacturers was pretty loose anyway. The more torque your engine produces the more slip you will get from the torque converter. If you piut a big converter in a stock engine with bugger all torque, the converter will not slip as much as advertised. What do you think?
