Thanks for your interest, They will fit a 70 to 72 455 block. They do not fit the 73 and up blocks. The compressed thickness is about .028, it may vary about a .001 .

    Jerrold,

The compression height is around .028" plus or minus .001" or .002".

The price for the GM pair is $90, send me your e-mail and I will send you an image of them. FYI-The GM ones were made for them by Mc Cord.

Just to make sure, are the shock "adjustable" or non-adjustable?

    Jerrold,

I will check on the shipping cost tomorrow and get back to you.

On the thickness, .020" is the NHRA spec for the 70 GS455. I will do more checking, however, all the ones I have used check are about .028 at the seal around the cylinders, they are thinner at none seal areas of the gasket. Will also provide images of the GM gaskets.

The McCord gaskets over the years all seam to be of the same quality. They are on my NHRA "D" and "C" stocker engine at over 13 to 1 compression.

    Dan,

The Koni shocks are adjustable, and are currently set for how I used them on my 1970 GS Stock Appearing and 1970 NHRA "D" Stock Eliminator cars.
