I never had a problem with the GS emblems not lining up to original holes. I am amazed that GM is charging $29.03 ea for these now. List is $47.30 ea.
    Part number is 1394199

    Matt,

Thats not a bad price. Do you remember the peg spacing? My originals have 2 end studs and a center pin. And all three pegs line up in a row.
The #'s on the back are 1384620

    Thanks, Gary

    Gary,

That is the part number cast into the part. The new GM parts are correct for your car. I have one right here. Better order a couple before they raise the price again.

    Dave,

I tryed to PM you but you are all filled up!!

    Matt,

I also found what looks to be genuine GM GS fender emblems thru TPP for 39.00 dollars. I bought a couple 455 emblems thru YO and they looked pretty good and lined up perfectly. Need to buy another one though since i stepped on it while i was drilling.

I was suprised at the price because they were only $13-15 in the last year or so. I should have bought a dozen.

They might have been $13 to $15 at GMpartsdirect, but dealership price has been $23 to $26 ( I can't remember exactly) for about 6 years. And by the time you pay the outrageous shipping fees to GMpartsdirect, you wind up saving nothing. Just go to your dealer. :TU:

Dealers charge straight list price. List price on the emblem is $47.30. If you get best price ... less 25% it will still cost you $35.44 plus tax plus your time plus fuel. Why bother to leave the house? In addition, you have to go there two times. Once to order and pay and another to pick up.

Just to let you know the cost-- I payed 58.00 for the 2 emblems and 13.00 for shipping, for a total of around 70.00

Thats why you need to make freinds with your dealership parts guy :) Almost always car guy in there somewhere. Call with part number and order, then go pick up, I paid 50.00 Canadian for both mine a couple years back.

50 shipped ? Are you talking the GM parts number found on a body/shop manual ?

I called GM and ordered two p/n 1394199. No shipping involved as I picked it up at the dealership. $50.00 for both. Nobody pays retail for anything anymore, its only good as a baseline to show the "savings".

Bolted right onto the factory punched holes on my car.
