im running the gs113a cam and love it, BUT want to get about 20 more h/p, to help me get into the 11's. i want to know how it runs on the street, my engine and car is set up to handle it, im thinking i might have to take my Qjet off and run a different carb at the track, just want feed back on this idea, and is it wrth it, i am going to install dual springs at that time

I'm running the GS110 in my convertible and drive it on the street all the time you need a good 3500 converter. I have ran 12.03 @ 110 with a 1.65 60' in a full weight 68 GS convertible 10-1 compression on pumpgas. This was with a B4b intake I have went to a TA but have not tried it yet I think 11's now. This is a very angry camshaft you will be the talk of the drive-in with this BadBoy.

Don't forget to check your piston to valve clearance when you install it! I am pretty sure it requires fly cut pistons. Brian

Ive been running the 110 for 3 years now and had no problems. Just be sure you have good heads. Ive have been held back because I am running stock 72 heads with no work done to them other than freshened up ( ran out of money at the time). I will be fixing this soon.
As Todd said everyone will talk about the idle.

    I RUN A 3200- 3500 STALL

I have the 105A cam in mine, I bought a used 110 cam I wanted to try and was told not to bother by some people who know there stuff. The guy I got the cam from was very disapointed in it. Tom

i have notched pistons, tweaked stage one heads, tweaked s divider intake, 1 7/8 headers, 2 1/2 m/b exhaust, also acording to postons the 105A is more for racing then street, 110 is more balanced, my info on cam profiles is 108 0r smaller is radical,

The 110 has way more duration than the 105A does. Tom

    Definately does!

    HAHAHAHAHA!!!YES IT IS!! I LOVE IT!!!THIS IS HOW I DRIVE>>> [IMG]

I run a 3800 Race/Treemaster, which for some reason, it stalls to 4200. Very TIGHT converter, though. T/A 3" exhaust w/ Walker Super Dynomax's. Sounds absolutly bad A$$!!!LOVE IT!!![IMG] [IMG]

This cam likes gears(4:10's), comp.(at LEAST 10.5:1!!) and 3500 stall, and GOOD heads. Kinda tough on lifters too. Roller rockers highly recommended, But I've also used stockers (brand new replacements):TU:

Whuups, :Dou: I thought we were talkin' bout 510 cam not 110. My bad! :spank:

Hi, Does the GS 110 really idle at 800 RPM? I wanted to try this cam going by the discription to, More streetable and more power than the 105A. So I bought a used 110 cam from a guy who got one and was not happy with it and after asking others about it I was told to stay with the 105A. I have 9.7 compression so I don't think the 110 would work very well in my car. My biggest gain came from head work, went from 12.10-12.0s to 11.50-11.60s with a home done port job and everything else the same as it was. PS, The 105A gets plenty of looks when it idles to. :Comp: Tom

Is there a spec sheet for all these cams that everyone is talking about? If so, where?

HUH? WHAT cam ARE you guys talkin' bout???

    Surely NOT T/A's C110 w/ .455"I & .465"E lift and 218*I & 224*E @ .050". This is a smooth idling BABY cam.

How could this POSSIBLY be MORE DURATION than 105A? (I don't remember .050" specs but I KNOW there around 230*-250*.
    Hot street/strip.

Could it be possible that there is some OTHER cam than T/A's C110 version?:jd:

Since i'm in the process of choosing a cam and learning from the comments of others I was wondering why such a big split in duration is a bad idea. Also what would be a more reasonable split be if it should be a split at all.

I never said it was a "bad idea". I just don't need it. I'm sure that this cam fits into a certain kind of combo.

Be careful what you choose..... with those kind of specs you will need very good heads and the rest of the motor and drivetrain needs to be considered also. (ie: converter, rear gear ratio...) It may sound cool at the drive in but may be a bitch to live with on the street if everything isn't thought out right. Tke it from someone who has been there, terrible street manners gets real old real fast! And it may not run the numbers a smaller cammed better behaved motor will. Of course if it mostly for the strip then have fun!! Brian

I would need to dig up my card on the 105A to be sure but I think it is 240 at .050 intake and 248 at .050 exhaust duration. Tom
