I just signed up, but have been a frequent onlooker for quite a while now. I grew up in Northern Virginia (D.C. area) and my first car in high school was a '69 Riviera GS, bright red w/black int., which I sold in 1985 to a fellow Buick guy in Maryland, I know he raced a Buick GS at 75/80 Drag-A-Way in Maryland. If your out there drop me a line! I also used to own a '72 Stage 1 when I lived in Northern Virginia, it was sold to a fellow in suburban Maryland, just outside D.C. about 15 years ago (Stratomist Blue/black top/black bench interior/auto. on column). Anyone know where it might be today? A good friend of mine had a brother who owned a dk. blue '73 (or maybe it was a '74) Stage 1 automatic car and ever since then I have wanted a '73 and missed the chance to by a light metallic blue w/white int., 4-speed car here in Columbus, Ohio about 8 years ago. Anyone know where that one went? It was originally purchased at Len Immke Buick here in Columbus. Needless to say, I had to buy the '73 4-speed car on eBay, it has been my dream car for many years and I was able to secure the car through a roundabout transaction involving a third party, and good friend. Let's just say I had something he wanted and he knew I wanted that car (like there was no tomorrow!) so...it worked out great for all of us. Anyway, great to be here and back into the world of Buicks, I am also a devout Mopar fan and collector and restorer of vintage Mopar police cars. I own a 1971 Ford Custom 429 Police Interceptor as well. I have always loved Buicks though, and have dreamed of a '73 Stage 1 4-speed for years. I can't wait to pick it up and will keep everyone posted. I'm not expecting a 100 point, concours car, but it's supposed to be real decent. I'll look forward to seeing everyone in Kentucky next spring.

Hey Pat, are you including the Riv GS's in this registry?

Mike, congratulations, I hope the car is all you expected it to be. It certainly is a unique combo that you won't find at every car show.

    unique cars...

    Thanks Adam,
Sounds like you've got quite a diverse collection yourself! I own a 1971 Ford Custom 429 Police Interceptor (factory 11.3 to 1 CJ motor) which is one of six built (and documented!) as well as a 1970 Coronet R/T and several Mopar police cars. I have always loved the odd stuff! I am a true Buick guy though and have had some good ones over the years.
    Good talking to you,
    Mike

    Hi Mike -

Welcome to the V8Buick board and congratulations on your recent purchase.

I run a factory Stage1 registry, trying to account for all the surviving cars. Please consider joining this registry (in addition to Pat's). Information can be found in the website contained in my signature below.

If you have any questions/concerns, please PM/email me your phone # and a good time to call.

    Thanks, and again, welcome!

    your registry...

    Thanks Marco,
I appreciate the welcome and will definitely be in touch with you as well. I have checked out your website and it is impressive. I wonder if the light metallic blue car I was wondering about, and almost purchased at one time, might be the one you have registered with not much info? I was thinking my car might already be registered too but it didn't look like it was. There did appear to be one other the same color? Which is the code for the tranny? Sorry to ask so many questions but I'm kind of excited about this whole thing.
    Thanks again,
    Mike
