A kid in my college class is always bragging about this riced out probe and how he can run high 15's...like thats something to brag about. Anyway, today i happen to have my grandmas 95 caddy with the northstar in it. So i go up to the kid and ask him to race his probe for money behind the college on a long stretch of road. The kid starts making fun of me, as i just sit there thinking how funny it will be do dust him with grandmas car.. Note he didnt want to race for money. As everyone else is laughing at me i decide to turn up some Guns N Roses-welcome to the jungle to get me pumped. On three we go. We get to three and we tear off...well at least i did. My grandmas caddy begins to pull away without any hesitation...as i look in the rear view mirror watching him bang gears like a mad man. After im like 4 car lengths ahead of him i see him turn off. Im going to ask him what happened next week in class...if he shows up. 68 Buick GS-350-California, 2 speed 65 skylark-455 84 bonneville-used for tanking trash cans:beer
Reminds me of High school back in the 70's. When my buddies and myself would put the big talking Nova / Chevelle / Duster etc. crowd in their place with our Caddys and Full size Buicks.
LOL, LOL I went to my class on monday and saw the kid sitting at a table. I walked up to him and asked him if he still thinks his car is fast. So he gives me a GOOD(j/k) excuse. Apparentally his anal probe was not running on all 6 cylinders....hmmm...havnt heard that one before? I love the excuses, but they do need to come up with some better ones!:moonu: 68 GS-california 350 65 skylark-soon to be 455 84 bonneville used for winter and garbage can hitting
I'd have asked him to make sure and let me know when they it is running on all "6", but sorry, mine runs on "8".........all the time. Nice kill.:TU:
I work at a Cadillac dealer and those Northstars are really underrated. Too bad most of them don't get used to their potential and end up all carboned up in Devilles! That's all we seem to do anymore- Decarbs. The "New" 335 Northstar with VVT (and adapted to RWD) is fantastic. They go like stink in the new SRX. Also, if you are looking for a new car- you HAVE to drive a 2004 CTS- the new 3.6 260HP VVT V6 is a sweet engine! So is the 5 speed automatic. Todd
Yes that is really true. Mostly old people drive caddys. Thats probobly why ricers dont know how fast those caddys are. Too bad for them. Lardo
