I thought this was an interestingly optioned car. 70 GS 455, Silver Mist top and bottom, blue bucket seat interior, th400 with console, no air , ps, pb, posi, rallye ride control package, forced comfort flo ventilation, heavy duty cooling, heavy duty air cleaner, door gaurds, remote mirror, upper peak moldings and trunk lip moldings, tinted glass, carpert savers and handy mats, rim blow steering wheel, instrument gages with rallye clock, super sport wheels, trunk light and mirror map light. Delivered to North Carolina and still here.
Super Sport wheels are the 14x6 buick rally wheels that are painted not chrome with trim ring.It looks like a 14x6 chrome wheel expet chrome spokes are argent silver paint with tall finned chrome centre cap and trim ring.It is a good looking wheel This was the leaset expensive rally wheel option a person could order to not get beyond hubcaps
That is a 71-72 V7 rally wheel that repalced SS wheel in 70. Those wheels are painted solid gray in centre where as SS wheels have spkes and inner hub painted to look like chrome wheel. Plus V7 whhel hub holes and centre tower is differnt an unique to V7 wheel
Here is a picture of a V7 Super Sport wheel, (painted 14x6 wheel w/stainless trim ring)... My 70 Stage 1 also came factory equipped with the Rim Blow Wheel, Forced Flow Ventilation and the V7 wheels. All three options together are probably a little unusual.
Unfortunately those wheels have long since departed from the car. Car now has a set of Cragar SS's on it. WG's are in its future. I thought the Forced Flow and rim blow were rare, I didn't even think about the wheels until you guys started posting.
Oddly enough option code-I2 Forced Comfort-flo Ventilation was only available on non-air conditioned cars...but was available on convertibles too. According to my copy of 1970 Buick Daily Car Reports there were only 333 GS cars across all body styles and all assembly plants produced with this option. Not very popular with the GS buyers...My car sold new in Seattle WA. So maybe the climate helped to sell mine.
