    What's the good news ?

All I see is a photo of an ugly car with wrong striping and stupid wheels...

I can fix that :TU: I'm just happy about the casting itself.

I see Dan, I just don't like that whole hot wheels look all together.
Is this the same body as used on the Johnny Lightning series ?

But the Boattails are finally getting recognition from the die cast fabricators :TU:
Like the 1:18 models by Road Signature or this 1:43 model I received from the UK the other day:

Personally I wish the '68-'69 Riv would get some recognition from the large scale die cast manufacturers.

The Hot Wheels Riv may not be a stocker but at least it introduces a new generation to the cars fantastic shape.

I know when I was a kid I dreamed about owning the real cars my Hot Wheels were modeled after, Imagine a world with no toy Buicks, only Chevys and Fords. :(

    That would litterally suck.

    Hey Dan,

Guess what ? Someone came over to me last Sunday at the King Cruise (American car meeting here in the Netherlands) and gave me one of those Boattails as a present :TU:

Nice gesture, and I have to admit that they look cool in real life, despite what my first impression was...  :bglasses:

They were selling them for 1,75 Euro each, that's only US$ 2.22
