Is there a reputable machine shop in the St. Louis area? I am in need of a major overhaul. '73 455. A street address would be appreciated.
Its not in St Louis but why not drive a little further and take it to Automotive Machine and Performance in Philpot, KY? They specialize in Buick 455's and you can even buy a performance 455 already to go and just save your original block. Mike Philips I think is the name of the guy who runs the place. I have spoken with him on several occassions at the a GS NAtionals and he knows his stuff. I have never had an engine done by him but know people that have and they have been pleased. Maybe a little more expensive than average corner Chevy shop but if you take it to one of those you will end up paying twice or three times over. Do it right the first time. Learn from me and others.
