Here in this area of Michigan we it seemed started having November weather in Oct. then November rolls around and I do believe the calander is messed up as it is like December out there.

The Buick was driven hoime from the last car show I know of in Midland put in the garage and covered. I had planed on takeing it out for a Sunday drive once in a while and when engine was warm change the oil and filter. isn't going to happen I guess.
Our gravel road has been a wet sloppy mess since back in Oct also.

Can only hope that if we are doing the month ahead we will have a nice dry road and warmer weather in Febuary to do a few week end drives to cure the Buickidica.

I feel your pain. It has been much of a wet sloppy mess down here in the south since mid September due to two major hurricanes and the resulting aftermath and other storms. So many roads washed out, dams broken, areas flooded. The state recently asked permission to re-open a closed drainage ditch to drain off the water near the roads toward my family pond/'marsh/meadow' and we agreed; it was getting risky to drive on the paved road. as the water was only a few inches below the pavement coming up the bank. Farmers have had to write off crops in the fields.
Kinda hard to enjoy a convertible (or two) with the top up the entire time.
At least we don't USUALLY have that dreaded frozen white mess that you people up north call it, I think, "SNOW"!!! Now watch it, us southerners will probably get a whole mess of that stuff now that I have spoken of that which must not be spoken.

I feel your pain, also, but I suggest getting a beater you don't mind driving in the mess. Keeps the "old car fix" at bay throughout the year :)....I just took mine on a 400 mile round trip over Roger's Pass onto the other side of the state and back last weekend. It's a truck, but still gets compliments and I get driving enjoyment out of it. With a daily beater, if it gets dirty or snowy, who cares?

I too have an old beater that I keep around in the winter for dry days...I bought it from a Mopar junkyard in Oregon and had it shipped to Michigan. It's got a 225 slant six and a three-speed on the column, but I swapped in the 225. The old 170 had an oil soaked clutch and couldn't hold the car on a hill in gear. :) I probably put a thousand miles on it during the cold months, and then I store it for the summer, although I never drive it when the roads are wet or snowy here in salty Michigan. It's amazing how much happier I am when I can go bombing around in January or February on a decent day.

Mine too :) might be an XLT trim. They had a few different packages and I'm no expert in the differences other than what's most basic to fanciest by name.....agree on the Dodge. 1963?
