I Have A 73 Century Which Im Replacing Radiator,went To Advance Auto Picked One Up For 120.00 Dollars,got Home And Theres A Fitting Just Below Radiator Cap Which Will Hit My Schroud,wont Work Unless I Cut My Radiator Scroud,take It Back,i Get One Today At Napa Different Vendor,i Ask Him If It Has A Fitting Sticking Out By Filler Neck He Says No, I Say Great,i Buy It For 112.00 Dollars.take Mine Out Tonite And The Inlet On This One Is Smaller Than My Old One,i Cant Believe This,so Radiator Hose Is Too Big On This End,im Not Cutting Hose And Putting In A Tube Or Anything,all I Want Is One That Fits My Car.im Going To Call Radiator Barn Tommo0rrow And Ask For Measurements,and See What They Have,oh Yeah And Guess Where Both These Other Radiators Were Made,my Favorite Place China,anyone Else Have Anyone Who They Ordered Radiators From That Are Made Here.thanks For The Help Ray ________ List Of Subaru Transmissions History
Check around for a good price on a Modine 4-core radiator. I am going on 11 years with the one I put in my GS with 0 problems other than having to open up the rubber supports with a knife. I think they are still made in the US. Worth the extra expense. Forget the mega parts store junk!
i just called 2 more places about radiators,a radiator shop which doesnt do them anymore just orders them,part number 8161 as what i got from napa,then i called radiator barn which uses the same radiator,top outlet is suppose to be 1 9/16 which it measures 1 1/2.they said you put a sleve over the neck then slip your hose over to take up the space.now i just got off the phone with a guy who still makes them,said he uses my tanks and orders a new core,he said it will be better than any aftermarket radiator built.core is much better he said.hes calling me back on a price.ill let yah know.seeyah Ray ________ IPAD GUIDE
radiator guy just called me,my radiator is done,170.00 plus tax,i gave him my old one yesterday at 3.00 oclock,used my tanks and put in new core,i asked him to look at my old core and tell me if it was bad,cause car ran up too 205 degrees while driving,he said radiator was half plugged with silicone worms and junk,i will let yiou know what temps it runs tommorrow,ill put it in tonite and check temp on way to work,oh by the way my old radiator looked like brand new from outside,was originally from california.looks can be decieving.see yah Ray ________ Uggs
