If you boys have not seen this movie yet, go immediately. This is one of the best movies ever made! It is about 4 hours long, but has an intermission. Don't let the length of the movie bother you, it is well worth it! It has great battle scenes, but concentrates more on the generals and accurate history of the beginning of the civil war. Excellent.
My son wants me to take him to see it. But first I need to know if it is appropriate for someone who is 10? Are there any bloody, gory seens in it? Swords lopping body parts off and such? Tis' but a flesh wound! :laugh:
It's nothing like Patriot or saving private ryan. There are battle scenes, but that is not what this movie concentrates on. Not much blood. And, I don't think there were any curse words. I would take a 10 year old with no problem.
Sounds like a really good one to see...but 4 HRS!!:eek2: Hard to believe they'd make a movie that long!! Previews sure look good though!:TU:
