About 3 years ago, I was praying one night and , I dont know why o No: but I said "Lord, I would like to have another one of those 65 Skylark Gran Sports like I used to race". [ I was racing one back in the early 70 s.] I didnt think any more about it, and went on about my business. :bglasses: About 2 mo. later I was talking to a guy at work,we got to talking hobbies and he asked what I liked to do. I replied that I liked to redo old cars. He said" What kind is your favorite kind?" I said," A 65 Buick Skylark GS" He then replied " huh, My cousin has one of them sitting in his backyard that he hasnt drove in 9 yrs." :shock: He gave me the mans phone number and I called him. After a conversation, he told me to come and look at the car and bring a way of carrying it. I went to his home and the car was all there , numbers matching. We loaded it up and I pulled out my check book, expecting to have to break the bank, and he said let me get the bill of sale. He returned in a minute and handed me the bill of sale and down at the bottom the price was listed as $2.00. p I brought it home, changed out the rotten fuel lines,old battery, oil, ect and started it up. :3gears: Be aware that God knows where we are,what we are doing, and what is going on in our lives down to the smallest detail. Aint that nice. :laugh: :laugh:
That's a good story. :TU: God answers every prayer...sometimes yes, sometimes no....so be careful what you ask for...you just might get it. Good luck with the new car.
The providence of Almighty God! He blesses us more than we ever deserve! Remember to give thanks to Him in everything. Each one of us should have been nailed to that cross and suffered what his Son did for us.
There is no such thing as coincedence & this story just continues to prove his timing. Scrolling down to check as I do every day on the latest chatting, out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw the title & just said, nah. Read & scroll back up & there it is. When our faith is being tested & we think were about to lose it, Bam reassurance. I tell ya you cant hide from God & his powerful words, even on the Web.
Be careful what you ask for. God will give it to you just to prove you didn't need it in the first place. Great blessing you shared. God just let me find this great extremely low mileage 98 full size conversion van (I was looking for a Navigator for my business to tow the trailer); Gorgeous dark blue paint, not a scatch, power leather capt chairs all the bells and whistles and a full trailer tow package. The lady put on new tires, shocks and brakes before she trades it. So I ask how much and the dealer says for 5k I can drive it home. God is good.
