I just got a 69 GS and i need to get the glove box lock off to take it to a locksmith to get a key made so i can get in the trunk. The lock is not like the one in my 71 stage 1 and i cant figure out how to get it out of the dash because i cant see the back of it and it doesnt feel like it has a nut on the back of it. Can anyone tell me how to pop that out of there? thanks.
I had a similar problem with the 70, the glove box lock was frozen so I just got a new lock from the parts place. Drove the car to the locksmith, took the new lock with me, and they swapped it out. Took about ten minutes for them to do and cost $20.
