I am hoping everything goes well this winter so I can get my Stage2 regal ready for next year. My motor has ported Stage2 heads, 308s cam, around 13to1 comp. block half filled with a girdle. The car is a 85 t-type that has a ladder bar rear with a full cage will cert. for 8.50. pretty much gutted. Until I get it home not sure about the weight. I am hoping to be under 3000 with me in it. I am asking for info about transmissions, which one to use :Do No:

I allready have a th400 with a reverse pattern manuel shift. I am intertaining the idea of putting a glide in it though. I want the car as consistant as possible so one less shift could help, that way operator error should be my downfall :Dou: Tranny brake also peaks my interest. Car also has a 4.10 gear.

    Very Nice!

If you go under 3000 a glide would work very well with the right converter and a transbrake. THe weight will be the deciding factor. What are your future plans? Rpm will be an issue without the right parts since you wont be able to kill any gear in the rear going with the glide. I would say the 4.10 is as low as you can go N/A. I run 4.30's in mine but I'm at 3300 lbs and using nitrous with a 30" tire. I also only ran 1/8 mi. It made a big difference making the 60ft more stable and consistant. A transbrake is the only way to go with the glide. What et are you shooting for?

My goal with this car is to run in the 10 flat range all the time, with cool air and the right alt. ultimaltly 9.50's.For now it is all steel. If I do not make the 3000 mark then I will start adding fiberglass and maybe even lexan. I know there are alot of places to shave some pounds off. Consistancy is my main goal. I want to only worry about my driving the car.

As far as gear goes I also have plenty of room for bigger tires also. I eventually will go to 12.5x30 tires if needed. In the pic are some 29x10 slicks. The stock frame rails were moved in 4in on each side.
