Boy that engine hoist looks familiar...I have not seen that thing for @ 4 months ...I kinda wondered where it went! At least it is being put to good use!

Thanks Scotty! I've taken this engine in and out, so many times with that thing, I can almost do it blindfolded :Dou:. Joe X.

Ynahpetscnb, The donor non A/C piece was cut off a junkyard '70 Chevelle, with a battery operated sawsall. Should be easy to find a Skylark, or other GM "A" body car with A/C, for what you need. The interior heater/core box is different, as well as the heater/controll parts. Let us know how your project goes. Joe X.

Thanks. Any 68 to 73 A body will work right?

Top pic. Needs to be pushed back a bit, clamped, then holes welded up, ground flush, and seam sealer. Joe X.

looks good the non ac conversion. Just had the same thing done with my car. Looks a lot better than the galvanized aluminum patch I had in there for 12 or so years. Ill post some pics if i can.

Joe--Thanks for the pics! Looks like the job is going pretty well and should end up looking stock again. Neat to see what is behind all that firewall metal.
