    desertrat_1960 DIE !!! RICE BOY...ZERRP!

Since we moved to Missouri my B-Inlaws' has been saying he was going to give me this nice Woodstove . Well 2 weeks ago he brought it down from St. Louis . It took 4 people to skid it up in the truck . We lashed onto it with my cherry picker and slung it out . So I went ahead and cleaned it up painted it and got it ready to install . It's a Columbia with a 2 ft. deep wood box x 14-16" wide with a "Tier Type" top that you can cook on . I'd say it weighs in @ 350-400 lbs . Stoke it in the late morning and it would roll all day .
Anyway I've got the lights up , a storage area/room , and I've done the back wall of the new bathroom in Tongue & Groove Pine .I'll stain / seal it and get the toilet/shower done next year . I've got to re-do the drains / water lines that were burned up when the previous owners Log Home burned down . :ball:
Anyway that Oughta be fun . 6" Slab Walls and solid floor .
Went out this past weekend and got the pipe etc. and found what I hope is a good spot for the stove . Since I plan on painting in the shop (HVLP) I needed a way to get the flame source out . My water heating wood stove idea is a ways' off .
So in the mean time I built a another cradle for the stove . built it out of 2" angle and welded steel wheel casters to it . Went ahead and after 2 afternoons and 3 trips to town for stuff I got the flue up ,and also the flue on the stove . I've put "stand offs' " with welded feet and a section of 3" flat stock running down each side bolted to the floor to guide the stove back into the flue in the wall . I'm still needing to put guy lines on the stove flue .
I got 4 small turn buckles to get tension on the lines .
I'll get cosy in there I'm sure . When I'm ready to paint I'll have a handle on it and I'll damp the fire down and roll the stove outside . When I get done and cleared out I can bring the stove back in .
It looks like we'll be here for awhile and everything I get built just adds equity for when we can sell . We don't think Nevada is a reality for some time . We may buy closer to Springfield , Mo. where prices will go up faster
and try to go back to Nevada from there .
Anyway it is nice here and there is alot to see as far as attractions in Branson , And some very cool caves .
Here are a few pics of the stove .
Merry Christmas to you and yours .
