Today I cut the switch off on the Cent. and my gen light stayed on bright and the radio continued to play. The lock has not realy wanted to go to the ACC position in the past. So, the question is...Is it the ignition lock or switch? o No:
Had the same problem on my 70 skylark, would turn off ignition and a few hours later, in my case, the gen light would come on. Lock does not go into accessory position either. Well turns out my problem was the brand new voltage regulator I had put in. Changed the regulator and car has been good since. Don't know if this helps.
