I've had my 225 for over a month now and am having some peculiar issues I'm hoping to get help with: My tank is supposed to hold 25 gallons but I ran out of fuel after I used just 12 gallons? After I ran out of fuel, I put in about 2 gallons to get me to the gas station. There I was only able to add an additional 10 gallons. Does the gas line not extend all the way to the bottom of the tank?!? What am I missing here? Gas Guage is stuck at 1/4 tank. What is involved in fixing this issue? Thanks for your time.
Could be an replacement, smaller tank that doesn't hold what it is supposed to. Could also be the fuel pickup is not to the bottom of the tank. As far as the gauge not working, could be lots of stuff... a disconnected wire, bad ground, bad gauge. Someone posted a good tutorial on testing fuel sending units and gauges recently, might have been Jason Cook, but I can't seem to find it now.
