I hope someone has a good suggestion for this.

I had gas boiling in the carb, which stalled the engine.

The overheat light did not come on. It was about 90 degrees out and i did have the A/C on.

    Any insight?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
Type of car and motor will help, first thing that comes to mind is the heat riser valve ceased closed.
Is there a gasket between the intake manifold and carb, how thick is it? I've seen a thin stainless gasket to help insulate the carb from the manifold.
    thanks Bruce

A phenolic spacer should keep it from boiling.

Ditto - see the Moroso website. Mopar also makes a plastic spacer for thermoquads that works on our spreadbore stuff.
