I have a car that has been sitting for 25 years. I replaced the fuel pump & put on a rebuilt carb. I am drawing gas from a plastic gas can under the hood andI have the return line hooked up to the return line. I am not pulling gas from the tank because it has old gas in it and I need to empty it.

My question is the 2 gallon can will go empty after idling the engine for about 10 minutes. Is the pump sending this fuel to the tank through the return line?

    Ed,
Try connecting another return line to return to your gas can... This should answer that question.

On another subject, when do you think that you will be heading back to Jim's?
I may be buying a rear axle out of Fergus Falls. Thought we could work something out?
    Thanks,
    Gil

Yup. You're adding good gas to the bad gas you are going to have to get rid of.

    Great

The tank is now 4 gallons heavier. What does one do with old gas??
    Thanks

You should be able to use the old gas in your Lawnmower without any problems. Have done it several times and know of others that have also. :TU:

    Any other ideas.?
