I have a 71 skylark. After I let the engine warm up and turn it off I have to prime the carb to start again everytime . Is my problem in the fuel pump or the carb?
Start with the basics. Check your timing. Run the motor and pop the carb lid off to check the float level. Check your compression with a compression tester to make sure you're in spec. How are your plugs and points? Does your carb need a rebuild? Aaron
Oh, don't pop the carb lid off with the engine running...Shut it off to do that. Sorry I wasn't clear on that!
