Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to fix my bumper. I circled the problem area on the picture. It is only one side, so it looks really ghetto. It is on the left side and it is pushed in so far as the bumper is not visible looking from the side of the car, when it should stick out about 3-4 inches. Any ideas?

Take the bumper off the car. Attach a slide hammer to the compressed shock absorber and give it a few hard whacks. Measure the length of the unaffected side to make sure they are both the same. Re attach the bumper and go have a cold one

This is probably best. OR - depending on your skill level - you can remove it, cut it and weld in a piece of round tube as a spacer and adjust it to the length you want.

My car has gone through two iterations: On the back the shock absorbers have been removed and replaced with round tube, with the bumper pulled in about 1" on both sides. On the front all of the tubes have been replaced with 1/4" x 2" aluminum flatstock holding up a fiberglass bumper, again positioned about 1" closer than before.

    Good luck -
