This is a uplicate post from parts wanted (it seems like people visit this area more oten??)

Anyone have an extra 1970's Z28 or T/A front sway bar? I'd need it cheap as I am currently unemployed, well that and I am dealing with cancer. Bummer.

I just wanted to try one on my Skylark.

    Thanks!

I forgot you werent running a front sway (or were running a stock one).

I'm sure this is the last thing you want to hear, but we care and are curious. How are you feeling?

I usually go to the local pick and pull they can have them there for 6-7 dollars. and you want only the trans am bar 70-81 not the Z28 the Z bar is only 1 1/8 the Trans am bars are all 1 1/4 and you MUDT use a rear bar if you go to such a big bar or you won;t belive how the back end is loose

Thanks for the tips, Ken. There just aren't a lot of those cars around here anymore. I really have no idea why that is. I'll keep an eye out.

Hey Eric, thanks for asking. I am just taking it day by day, sometimes hour by hour. An example of what I mean: This morning, I felt great, but at some point this afternoon, I got a bout of pain that lasted for hours :(

Here is the sway bar scoop:
With the Global West and Edelbrock control arms, I have found, at least so far, that I don't need as stiff sway bars as I had used in the past. I am actually running corners hard right now - with no rear sway bar at all! As nutty as it sounds - it's true. Funny thing is that GW says you don't need one. Well, I tried it, and they're right. They also say that I shouldn't need anything really radical for a front bar either. I just want to try this out.

    Keep Rockin'

Thats true if you have got a modified suspension like you have then your springs are more than up to the job ... for those of us who have all stock springs and parts the large sway bars ( front and rear ) help a lot ... It is not wise to have big bars as well as heavy springs that would put too much load on the tires and handle poorly ... go with what ever the company who made your product sugest ... after all they have tried all the combinations already :TU:

The junk yards around here generally don't have jack crap. That's why I am inquiring here....
