Does anybody have experience with what front clips (hood, grille, fender, bumpers) interchange on the 1954 thru 1956 Buicks?

Will Special/Century parts work on Roadmaster and/or Centuries? If so, only in the same year of production?

    Thanks,

I'm pretty sure its the same as wheelbase- ie Special and Century interchange (122"). And the Super and Roadmaster will interchange(127")
I hope so anyways, I've got a Century grill at the plating shop waiting to be installed on my Special.

They are all different. None of the things from different years will interchange individually...maybe the whole clip could be made to work. The difference between the series 40/60 (special/century) and 50/70 (super/roadmaster) are more different than the years.
On a 55 the only things that will interchange between the series are the hood ornament, B U I C K letters, boobs (bullets), upper grill bar extensions, center grill bar, and upper/outter bumper pieces.
Get a parts book for more info.

    :Brow: Thanks Willie.

So I'm to assume a 54 Super front clip will not fit a 55 Super, for instance?

How about the 54 Super grille and maybe bumper? I like the effect one achieves using a 57 Buick grille in a 57 Chevy. Best thing one can do to improve the appearance of the 57 Chebbie IMHO.

Probably not easily, although anything can be done. 55 & 56 have a bar connecting the right and left frame rail in the front and that is lacking in the 54. Other than that you would have to place the two cars next to each other and compare or just start trying to fit the parts.
I now remember seeing a 56 on ebay that had a 55 front clip...I think it was a century.
