I bought a new set of durulast front brake drums for my 64 skylark. After I nocked the hub and studs out of the old warped ones I went to munt the new ones and they just slide over the studs and hub. The holes are wide enough the studs aren't friction fit. The drum just slides loosely over the hub and studs in a manner similar to how the rear brake drum slides on. Is it OK to use these like this or do I have to go get a different set?

I think it's safe to say they are ok to use. I mean you just said the rear ones work like that, so what would be the difference that wouldn't make them work on the front? I understand that the original front drums are held tight by the stud splines, but I don't think it'll cause any problems for you. -Josh

When you initially put the drums on they are not tight.Put on the wheel and torque them down tight. Then remove the wheel and then check their fit to the hub.
Just went through this with mine.
