From the archives- not Buick related but I did trade a car for it.

Jennifer dug out a relic from my past the other night. My old police jacket!

Years ago, I had a 64 MG Midget that was given to me. Someone had transplanted an Olds 215 in it. It was a rough piece. But who am I no not accept a free car! It was solid, but really needed alot of work. I have a few pictures of it I'll dig up tonight of it. Anyway, after looking at it for six months, a friend of mine at the time expressed an interest in it. We worked out a trade- one MG Midget for a really cool police leather jacket. The deal was done and I was the proud owner of a leather jacket. I always said that I got the better end of the deal!

Jennifer unearthed it from the depths of the basement. I cleaned it up with some Murphys oil soap and Lexol. Its a pretty cool piece. Still fits me too! I still have the liner for it, but its in that magical land of "someplace". I know I have it, just have to figure out what box or drawer of old clothes its in. The liner has the officer's shield number stitchd in it and the jacket says NYCTP (New York City Transit Police) 73 PCT on the inside. I really dont know how old it is, but it was old when I got it 25 years ago. Here are a few pictures. You can still see the impression of the shield and the triangular stitching on the shoulder from the patch. I might even start wearing it again
