I need advice. I have a freeze out plug leaking on my GS400. The plug is located right by and slightly under the engine mount. A couple of questions. Is there a way to fix it temporarily? Does the engine have to be pulled to fix it or is there a way to replace it by just removing the exhaust manifold?

Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

    gs4u2c Is that a 442?

I don't really recommend as a permanent fix, but I have used the Bars Leaks Block and Head sealer on a beater Chevy truck I have. It fixed the freeze plug leak. I did follow the directions though (drain, refill, run, drain, etc.) BTW that was 3 years ago and it still doesn't leak, but I don't know if it potentially plugs up water passages?? Hasn't seemed to affect anything.

    Tim,

Thanks, I'm going to have the engine pulled and all the plugs replaced.
