The local auto parts stores carry an assortment set of push nuts from HELP. Unfortunately they go from 1/8 straight to 1/4 and my 64 Skylark (and I'm sure many others) uses 3/16 which nobody local had. I bought a bag of 100 and there are still 44 looking for homes. I'll happily send as many of them as you want, I just need to know how many and where to send them. First come of course gets first dibs. I presume any of the cars of that general era use push pull cables for both vent doors in the heater box and the air temperature control. I just looked at an Ebay listing for heater control and it uses 3 cables, same as my AC car.
