    Please...

That buildsheet is not for our car (our car was built in Fremont, VIN 4G37V2Z116775) but is there any way I could get you to scan it and send a copy to me? We have a '72 Stage 1 and never found a build sheet and I would like to see one so I can see all of the codes in the little boxes etc, for our restoration.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the photos. Our '72 Stage 1 has 139k miles and is unrestored, the only places we have looked so far are under the backseat and under the carpet, so if we are lucky it might still be in the car!

    Scott,
I have been decoding buildsheets for buicks for years and have never seen that type before. If it is possible I would like to get a couple of photocopies so I can decode this type also.

Looks like the build sheet from a late model regal. I think my 80 Regal is designated J47. M47 was a limited. The A is A body. Buick did not designate the regal as a G body until 81. I'll look at the sheets I have tomorrow.

    Re: build sheet

    Model AJ?

I would venture a guess and say the gas tank was replaced somewhere along the way...

I agree about the 47 body style.

Check out Buickgod.com for VIN information on the late '70's Regal models.

Body style '47' first shows up in 1977

What is the very first column labeled under 'Brodcast'?

I guess that's why I never saw one of these buildsheets before. As everyone knows, my world stops at 1972.

    Marco,

From what you found, I am guessing that it is from a 77. The gas tank in the 78 up regal is completely different. The 73-77 regal/century tank should be similar in size and shape to the 68-72. This is all assuming that he found the sheet under the gas tank.

now here is something funny i have a 81 regal in the garage. but i did not find it in the car unless it fell out. but i didnt find it in the car. i found this build sheet under a work bench in my garage. i lost the build sheet for my 72 gs i just ass-u-me ed that it was the one out of my gs. so anyway this one may be out of my regal.:Dou: :Dou: :Do No: maybe i am just mixing this with the one out of my gs. but i recall the one from my gs was off a few numbers also scott streidl

    Scott -

Was your '81 Regal Dark maple (paint code 77) with no vinyl top?

Also, would you like to register your '72 Stage1? All information is contained at www.stage1registry.com, and please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!
