Hey Frank, I guess old guys like you and Mike Ditka might need to take a little blue pill to 'correct the old camber settings' .............. :eek2:
Thanks, guys! No blue pills here. Just needed a couple of lower control arm bushings! The top of my lower control arm was rubbing against the bottom of the steering gear box. And, no Steve, Karen won't trade me for a couple of 23 1/2 year olds. She says they're too high maintanence!
I am continually amazed at what modern medicine can do for people, but I have never heard of anyone having lower control arm bushings replaced! :jd: At least your wife sees some value in you! That, or she is used to your stuff! uzzled: Happy b-day!
Who's Da Man? Didn't I make that call a while back, on an earlier post when you were describing how your car was wondering down the track? Been there, done that! :TU: Happy Birthday! Wayne
That was for the car, Rusty. The CAR. My bushings and rod are working just fine. :Brow: Wayne: I do recall your long distance prognosis involving my control arm bushings! Where do I send the check? p I just want to go on record stating that Dave H. is still the ELDER statesman for Pure Stock. I'm just a spring chicken sompared to Dave. Can't speak for the rest of you young whippersnappers! I'll buy a round of Geritol for everyone at the PSMCDR!!!
Gotta be all those 4 foot wheelies you pull on that thing. Rough on the bushings when it comes back down.
bummer , i went thru my dart just before i was trying to make gonzo's race , same thing , lower bushings , strut rod bushings and a lower ball joint , i was out in my driveway getting it back together till 3am , it started to snow just as i was picking up the tools :error:
Dang, Dave, you were supposed to keep that quiet.......now my secret weapon is revealed!
I think that Dan and Bob might see that JATO strapped to the roof! :error: You would go off the end of the track so bad, you would end up in the pig lot at Stanton for sure! ou:
Don't look now, guys, but before Ted Harbit pilots one of the Studes down the MMM track at the Fall 2005 PSMCDR, he will have celebrated his 70th birthday! (Well, I THINK he's planning on celebrating it...) Yeah, I know; he doesn't act a day over 40. Happy Birthday, Frank, whenever it was! BP
AHA! I knew it! Ted is an inspiration to me. Watching Arlen Vanke and Paul Adams (Fountain of Youth Fairlane) at NMCA also is great! I turned 60 the day after the Stanton June meet last summer. No looking back now!
Dave, I didn't realize what a kid you were! I will be 72 before the next MMM pure stock race :Brow: :Brow: :Brow: :Brow: :Brow: :Brow:
