Ok, so last night I spent 2 HOURS wrangling to install the 455 adapter frame pads on my 66 skylark, and finally got them in. Then realized that maybe I should've used thread locker? I was, however, smart enough to use grade 8 bolts. Should I risk busting my knuckles for another 4 hours and remove them to add some thread locker, or do you think I'm good to go?

Let me conclude by saying that it was a HUGE PAIN IN THE REAR to install these pads. Even with the right tools it is just hard to get in there to tighten the bolts. I managed to lose two bolts down into the frame under where the motor goes. I'm hoping they drop out the bottom at some point.. or else I'll have some funky rattles when I drive this thing!!!

Good and tight bolts should be fine. I don't remember ever using loc-tite on these bolts before and never had one come loose.

I still have two sockets rolling around in my crossmember from when I put my bigblock frame pads in back in 1986! hehe, I finally managed to coax one out last week with an old speaker magnet. :pp

LOL! I'm surprised I only lost two bolts down there.
