    70-72 Skylark/GS auto. floor shift.
Looks like an easy job to make one. I can buy the rear.
Anyone able to measure one in a car & provide dimensions?

Don't waste your time....the one at the rear and the mount that goes to the shifter body is sufficient.

    Steve,
I think I have a few OEM ones that need trimmed so you can attach it to your floor..And alot cheaper than that one. I will attempt to look tomorrow in the garage and let you know..

    George,
I've never even seen a real floor shift set-up in a car....sounds like it can be eliminated?

    Scott,
The E-Bay piece is the rear most mount.

    Pat,
Let me know what you can come up with.

    Thanks all.

Yes, the front mount can be eliminated.

It can be a pain to grind all the old floor sheet metal off the old brackets. When I have changed them I have used them not because I had to but because I am anal about those things.

Found one steve, but like Dave has done apparently...lol it will need to be removed from the original floor piece. I have been excessively busy with the new garage and haven't had time to snap a pic yet.

    Pat,
Don't remove it. Just looking for some dimensions & how high above the floor it sits. May make one over the Winter, may just delete it as George mentions.

I better clarify...The forward mount is already cut from an old car and is about 3 inches square with the mount on it. If you pay shipping and give me an addy,it can be sent to you by mid week. We had at least 5 console cars we parted and and this is why I have a few around.

    Pat,

Do you have any of the rear mount brackets. I need one for a auto console I want to put in my car.

    Carl,
I am assuming the one you need is about 3-4 inches across and 2 inches wide...give or take. I am pretty sure I have a couple and will look tomorrow and get back at you.. I will shoot a pic to be sure it's the right one you need...

    Pat,

I am not sure what it looks like - it is the one that holds the rear part of the console in place with, I believe, 2 screws holding it in place.

You can buy those new from Parts Place or make your own...not difficult.

    Pat,

I ended up getting a rear bracket. Do you have a front one?

Carl, Yes I do..I'll try to get back to the garage for another pic by tomorrow or so..The weather has prevented me from getting pics of things I want to sell so I can get my blast cabinet...
