Quit a few years ago I was going to a technical school about 360 miles from home. One week end, two of my buddies and I were headed home for the week end. We decided to stop in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1lace w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Johnstown</st1:City> <st1:State w:st="on">PA</st1:State></st1lace> for a bite and gas. We ate, and while putting some gas in the beast there sat a 70 something Mach II bright yellow with fancy black racing stripes. (hood up dumping oil down its throat.) Well we pulled out and went up to the light windows down. He hits the throttle a few times and I look over. Hes playing with his shifter so as I can see he has a 4 speed. He was with what I presume was his girl friend, and she asks what you got in there. I said a 455. The driver than gives the a little tsss, and rolled the eyes. Ok, and what do you have? He proudly replies a 351 <st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Cleveland</st1lace></st1:City>. It was all I could do to keep the youre a fool smile off my face as I nodded down the straight away. He nodded too. We left the light, I kept it first while listening to him shift from first to second and when he let off to hit 3rd, I bumped it to 2nd . The road was flat for 1st gear; from there it went up hill. Gotta love 510+ ftlbs of torque. I never heard the whining sound of the 351 again.
good kill story :TU: silly mustang people... don't they know theres no re-placement for dis-placement and torque wins races? oh well, guess not... :3gears:
theres only one other clasic car in my high school besides my skylark and it happens to be a 67' mustang i believe. i park next to it and rev the engine but it wants nothing to do with me
