I will soon be moving to the east coast and will be selling my Electra. Here are the details: 1962 Buick Electra 225 4 Door THE LEGAL STUFF It is a lifelong CA car. I have it currently on non-op and all registration fees are paid and it is current with pink slip in hand. ABOUT THE DRIVETRAIN. I bought the car a year ago, no secrets with this car, ive posted everything about it on the site. When I got it the previous owner didnt have it running. One of the pistons rings went out. I took the motor completely out and all the way apart, honed the cylinders and the clearances were fine. Replaced the piston, had them all cleaned and re-ringed with new rings ($100). New Bearings in the bottom end. The heads were taken to my local shop and were dipped, completely redone and resurfaced, very nice job ($400). Replaced rockers on the motor as well as new pushrods. Everything was cleaned or sandblasted and freshened up, with all new gaskets, painted the original nailhead green color with a stainless steel bolt kit. New sparkplugs, wires cap and rotor and fuel pump. Back in the car and running great. Brand new tires ABOUT THE BODY Like I said, lifetime CA car. Very nice interior and trunk etc. There is rust on the back drivers side under the window, and it does go all the way through. There is also a dent on the passenger side rear fender, it could be knocked out pretty easily. Otherwise the car is very straight, it has all the original trim and both bumpers are very nice. Under the hood was painted matte black while the motor was out. Red steelie rims, came that way, has a rat rod look. ABOUT THE INTERIOR I just got the front and rear seats done, they look awesome. Leather, green and white (to match the original color willowmist green) each seat cost me $500. The door panels are nice too, if they are just washed then the would easily be driver quality. The driver side window has come off the track and will need to be fixed. Needs new carpet.
