How do YOU do it. They won't let me think, I just broke another fly swater because they dont make them like they used to.
This worked for a week and I put tea tree and lavender oil in it too. I did get a big head ache after. But a week ain't good enough when the bottle says 2 months.

When I was a boy my best friends mom who was Mexican would put water in a big zip lock bag and tie up dangling in front of there door a good 5 inches. The logic behind it was flys hate water and they sense the water in the bag. Unseen a fly bust a u turn so I must have worked and I'm so frustrated I'm going to try it and report back.

    What do you do?

In Honduras visiting I remember the people didn't do nothing. they just let them be, people would have them on there face like they didn't feel them lol.

Flys as bigs as butterflies, butterflies as big as birds. Lizards that looked like something out of Jurassic park, snakes 2 feet wide. Monkeys on leases as pets, wild horses with my family's brand on it. Man I miss it.

I try to get rid of whatever is bringing them. One of the reasons I don't have pets anymore. A clean shop is typically a pest free shop. But If I'm out there sweating and stinking up the place then I'm the source. I have two big fans going on those days pointed toward the garage doors...that helps some. Keeping the lawn cut short and not having big clumps of cut grass helps too.

Go to a horse supply place . The stuff is called WIPE II . NO MORE FLIES . You can get it on line . Maybe Tractor supply carries it ??? And the smell is pleasant and doesn't smell like chemicals . Horse people have been using it for years

There is something about a half filled sandwich bag with water and a couple pennies in it . The flies think its a big bug that will eat them . It works too . I used it a few years ago when the flys were really bad . Hang a few around .

I have a battery operated electricution fly swatter. Looks like a tennis racket. Works great on wasps too. And it’s damn fun.

I got 3 dogs and 4 cats roaming around, the trash bins are behind the shop so I'll have to move them too. I need the dogs for anybody trying anything stoopid plus there is a pack of coyotes that's I can hear from time to time. Between my "pack" from what I've seen is a bunch of dead mice and even one dead snake. But I'll bring a fan in here now that you say. Thanks man

I had a pacman frog in my youth and fed it mice. Green and yellow it was cool. But my dog will kill that so fast.
That's good to know, I'm horse people to just haven't gotten back on the saddle.

    Bag a pennies, for real?

I just made a "trap" from some online article with water 1/4cup of sugar and a funnel. And I have a fly running the hundred yard dash 2 feet above my head so.....

Pouring some laquer thinner in the paint gun and shooting them out of the air is fun, then step on them when they hit the floor. Of course, this isn't a great idea if you have a nice freshly painted car in the shop :D

I like testing my hand speed by swatting them out of the sky with an open hand. Doing that with wasps gets a little more exciting! LoL

Chlorinated brake cleaner with the red tube. Shoot them in air; it gets in their eyes, all 36 of them, and they fall out DOA! Citronella candles are OK too. Tobacco smoke is my go to repellent! ws

Yeah, the tennis racket bug zappers are the bees knees. My problem is mosquitoes in the shop (eat me alive), so I get real joy when they explode into flames. Hard to get one of those rackets that actually work... have a whole box full that didn't work fresh out of the package (Chinese quality control), but if you get one that actually works, it will become your new hobby.

Ocean State Job lot usually carries the ultra violet zapper lights. Can get battery or 110 powered ones. Get to hear that satisfying snap and crackle anytime you reduce the bug population.

The zapper rackets are good too if you want to get proactive. I've taken them hiking in bug season and they do a pretty good job of thinning the swarms.

The fly trap did not catch a fly but now I'm out of 1/4cup of sugar. I need more time with the water to tell for sure
