I noticed there are two thicknesses of ring gears of stock 455 flex plates. The later years and service parts were around .060" thicker on the gear width, but the flexplate thickness' were identical. Is there any advantage to using the early narrow gear flexplate ( seemingly lighter, but still balanced the same) for faster rev response? I imagine both work with the mini starter. Tom
