I'm pulling apart my 350 motor and find Fitzgerald head gaskets (Part Number : 0981-LS). I believe the heads have been milled slightly, and that this is a thicker gasket than normal. They look to be a copper metalic compound. Does anyone know anything about these gaskets, and is there any way to reference the part number to find the thickness? TIA.
I'd call up TA performance. They sell copper gaskets in just about any thickness you want. I know the steel gaskets they sell are fitzgerald ones. Also if you have a micrometer, or calipers, measure it.
