Fisher Harmonic Dampener???

    Hey Guys and Gals,


    Does anyone out there use a fisher harmonic dampener on ther 455 Buick? If yes.... Does the outer ring on the dampener move on yours? I ask because dad put a mark on the outer black ring on our dampener and it does not stay in the same place. Any help is appreciated.

    John,
    The rings should rotate, but the part that has your timing mark should stay put. There are clutch disks and springs inside that have pressure against the rings. They will rotate during harmonic absorption.
