just finished putting my motor together and put a set of alum. valve covers on it. it's the original LR coded motor for my skylark and i had the valve covers laying around, figured i would dress it up with the covers and 2x4's. can someone tell me why my PCV is hitting the rocker arm oil shield? it doesn't even want to go in all the way. thank you all for any help you can give me.

There are different aluminum valve covers for California smog motors and AC or something along those lines I don't remember all the particulars, could you have the wrong combination of parts?

There was a special valve cover gasket for the alum, covers. This gasket was almost twice as thick as a standard gasket. This might help.
