I hope that picture is reversed. :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: The tach should be on the Drivers Side. :jd: :jd: :jd: Mark ou:
I would guess its reversed after seeing the red line on the tach is on the wrong side. How is this for a correction:TU: Rick Martinez
OK you busted me I gotta say though after frettin over it for a month I just finally did it and it was done in 15 minutes. Thought I'd botch it for sure, but it looks OK D.
i thought he was talking about the scoop holesou: till i saw the cowl louvers. now THAT would be funny:laugh:
Cole, Thanks! Sheri, yes it hurt, but I measured about ten time's and once I put the hole saw to the paint there was no turning back, I still need to finish the bare metal inside the hole and wire it up but the at least the hard part is done. Jasond455, hey no problem, I got the 3&5/8" hole saw ready for ya anytime Tim, I had the stripes on the car from '91 untill last year, the paint shop thought they were decals and shot the clear before I could intervene, so unless I want to strip the the sides I will just keep it the way it is. At least I dont have to tell people anymore that its not an X. Have a good week Y'all Dana
Dana, lookin' sharp, I sure do love a hood tach, but then again you knew that already. Did you use the hole saw like mine?
Kurt, I picked up an adjustable circle cutter like your's, but on my test cut's I was'nt real happy with my results and the bit kept getting dulled up. So I went with a 3 5/8s hole saw, did a test cut on an old door skin. Liked how that turned out and set up the template on the hood, made the pilot hole's and it cut it like butter. thanks for your help on it. Dana
Dana, Cool deal, My hole saw has done 2 of them and is still super sharp...of course it is an old craftsman tool that was my grandfathers.....
Nothing beats Grampa's Tool's Man I had a real nice set of Snap-On's that were my Grampa's. Some lowlife swiped em out of a garage I was renting in Evanston about ten year's ago. I got Craftsman's after that, but there was nothing like toolin with gramp's stuff. They just don't make them like they use to. D.
That sucks, still kind of interesting, your Grandfathers tools were stolen in Evenston, my Grandfather was a cop in Evenston for 31 years.... of course he was long retired when he moved down here in 1974
